Event Details

The world is moving towards a low-carbon future. COP26 is bringing parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The panel – ๐—๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—›๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† – focused on the industrial emissions and decarbonization opportunities for Eastern Europe. Countries in the CEE region are more reliant on industry and fossil fuel consumption compared to the rest of the EU. This is the primarily reason why these countries have been the focal point of the just transition. In terms of decarbonization opportunities, carbon capture and storge is emerging (CCS) as a solution.
