Dr. Iulian Fota is the director of the National Intelligence College and an associate professor at the National Intelligence Academy. He is a former National Security Adviser to the President of Romania. He previously held the position of the Head of the Defence Section of the Mission of Romania to NATO and Director of the National Defence College of Romania.
The Educational background of Mr. Fota comprises a PhD in Political Sciences achieved at the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania, as well as the graduation of the NATO Defence College in Rome, Italy and of the National Defence College in Bucharest, Romania.
He is also a member in the advisory council of the American think-tank Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and in the editorial board of the publications “Romanian Military History Magazine”, Bucharest, Romania and „Journal of Transportation Security” edited by Springer Science+Business Media, Berlin, Germany.
