Elena-Alexandra Miron is a Researcher in the Clean Economy Department at the Energy Policy Group, where she specialises in the decarbonisation of buildings and strategies to address hard-to-abate emissions where her work integrates research and stakeholder engagement to tackle the socio-economic challenges of the green transition effectively.

Previously, Elena worked at the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, where she contributed to initiatives supporting sustainable development. Her expertise spans urban decarbonisation, climate governance, climate finance, and just transition strategies. She has collaborated extensively with bilateral funding programs and innovative financial mechanisms to accelerate low-carbon solutions at both national and regional levels.

Elena holds a BA in Environmental Development and an MA in International Law, Diplomacy, and Global Change, with research focusing on climate change, migration, and inclusive policies. As a representative of Romanian youth at international climate forums, including UNFCCC, she is dedicated to driving equitable, sustainable, and collaborative climate action.
