Building on the analytical work done in the project ECF Climate Governance 2023, this project aims to continue on building a momentum for a national climate framework law in Romania. Focus will be put on making recommendations to improve the already existing governance tools (NECP; LTS) as well as the overall ambition to levels at least sufficient for a fair contribution to the collective EU-level efforts, public participation.

Moreover, the project will emphasize the need for a more participatory approach in climate governance with a focus on the regressive effects of climate policies on the individuals and how these effects are addressed in key planning tools (NECP, LTS, Social Climate Plan).
