Laura Camarut

Fall 2020

Laura is currently a Communications Officer at the Africa Division of Total, in Paris. In her current role, she is engaged in content creation, editorial communications, monitoring of political issues and event management. Previously, she interned with ENGIE as an international relations analyst, focusing mainly on Europe, Americas and the Middle East, and collaborated with several organisations specialized in energy and climate policy, such as C40 Cities, Réseau Action Climat and CEE Bankwatch.

She recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po, with concentrations in International Energy and European Studies and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Bucharest.

Laura’s main research interest is the role of the energy sector in meeting the climate targets. In her role as EPG Fellow, she will cover topics related to the energy transition in Eastern Europe, sustainability in the oil and gas sector and the geopolitics of climate change.
